Sweden will provide Ukraine with IRIS-T and Hawk air defense systems along with Leopard tanks as part of a new military aid package, Defense Minister Paul Johnson has said.

"Ukraine needs air defense systems, it is absolutely important for Ukraine that Russia does not gain air dominance. This is an opportunity that we must ensure in the long term," said Paul Johnson.
"Sweden will provide a significant amount of components and ammunition for the HAWK air defense system. The value of the components and ammunition will be several hundred million euros. Sweden will also supply much-needed components for the IRIS-T air defense system. In cooperation with Germany, this allows us to increase the capacity of IRIS-T in Ukraine," Paul Johnson wrote on Twitter.
Sweden will provide Ukraine with up to 10 Leopard 2 A5 main battle tanks and 50 CV90 infantry fighting vehicles.
