Apple has stopped warranty service for its MacBook and iPad in Russia
The same fate may befall iPhone smartphones and Apple Watch

The American company Apple has suspended warranty service for MacBook laptops and iPad tablets in Russia.
Source. This was reported by Interfax with reference to Apple's support service.
The reason for the decision was the sanctions restrictions on imports to Russia, in particular on spare parts, the company said. Warranty service for MacBooks and iPads "has been suspended for the time being," the company said. The terms are not specified.
The Fixed.one service center reported that Apple offers owners of equipment that have encountered problems during the warranty period to contact stores and request a refund.
At the same time, the suspension of service did not affect iPhone smartphones and Apple Watch, but it is possible that it will not last long.
Fixed.one also warned that Apple's decision threatens to close authorized service centers (ASCs) on a massive scale, as they will be left without work.
Fixed.one promised to continue working, but noted that in the future, servicing Apple equipment will take longer and require payment of various logistics costs.
Apple stopped working in Russia in March because of the war in Ukraine. It stopped supplying equipment, and the Apple Pay service stopped working completely. Since then, the third-generation iPhone 14 and iPhone SE have been supplied to the country under the "parallel import" scheme, i.e. without the permission of the copyright holder. In December, Apple decided to close its headquarters near the Kremlin.
As reported, iPhone imports to Russia dropped 3 times in 2022 – 15% of all iPhones imported under parallel imports were imported from India.
