"Everything Everywhere All at Once" became the best picture at the 95th Academy Awards

The best film at the 2023 Academy Awards became the film "Everything Everywhere All at Once".
This is stated on the website of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts.
In total, the film won 7 out of 11 awards at once. In particular, Michelle Yeoh, who played in the film, won the Oscar in the Best Actress nomination, and Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert won in the Best Director category.
In addition, the film won the Oscar for the Best Original Screenplay. In contrast, "Women Talking" (based on the novel "Women Talking" by Miriam Toews) was recognised as the film with the best adapted screenplay.
Meanwhile, the film "All Quiet on the Western Front" won 4 awards, including Best Original Score and Best Cinematography. Brendan Fraser was recognised as the best actor for his role in the film "The Whale". At the same time, "Avatar: The Way of Water" was awarded for the best visual effects.
Another Oscar went to a film about russian politician Alexey Navalny. It won in the Best Documentary Feature Film nomination, where the Ukrainian film "A House made of Splinters" was also nominated.
Other awards went to:
- Best Costume Design: Ruth Carter for the film "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever".
- Best Actor: Brendan Fraser for his role as Charlie in the film "The Whale".
- Best Sound: Mark Weingarten, James H. Mather, Al Nelson, Chris Burdon, and Mark Taylor for "Top Gun: Maverick".
- Best Original Song: "Naatu Naatu" ("RRR: Rise Roar Revolt").
- Best Make-up and Hairstyling: Adrien Morot, Judy Chin, and Annemarie Bradley for the film "The Whale".
- Best Visual Effects: Joe Letteri, Richard Baneham, Eric Saindon and Daniel Barrett for James Cameron's "Avatar: The Way of Water".
- Best Animated Feature Film: "Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio".
- Best short animated film: "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse" by Charlie Mackesy and Peter Baynton.
- Best Short Film: Ross White and Tom Berkeley for their film "An Irish Goodbye".
- Best Documentary Short Film: "Elephant Whisperers" by Kartiki Gonsalves.
