The authorities in Bali have asked the Indonesian government to abolish visas on arrival for Ukrainians and Russians as they try to find work in the country by entering on tourist visas.

"I have written a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice asking to cancel visa privileges for Ukrainians and Russians," he said.
In Indonesia, foreign nationals visiting the country as tourists are not allowed to work or set up a business.
According to the newspaper, Ukrainian and Russian citizens abuse tourist visas and try to get a job in the country or start a business.
Immigration authorities have repeatedly warned foreigners in Bali against working on tourist visas.
In addition, Koster said he took this step after numerous complaints about tourists from Ukraine and Russia. "Videos of Ukrainian and Russian tourists breaking traffic rules and behaving rudely with the police are circulating on social media," the newspaper writes.
"Why these two countries? They are currently at war, so they come to Bali not only as tourists but also for work," the governor said at a press conference.
Bali's immigration office reported that it has already deported 31 Ukrainian and Russian tourists, including four Russians who were deported in March.
