Ukraine's Foreign Ministry initiates sanctions against Romanian senator for seeking to take away Ukrainian territories
The politician has drafted a bill that proposes to annex part of Ukraine's southern region to Romania

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry is initiating sanctions against Romanian Senator Diana Șoșoacă for seeking to annex Ukrainian territories.
This was announced by Oleh Nikolenko, the Ministry's spokesman.
It is noted that the senator submitted a bill that proposes to annex part of the southern region of Ukraine to Romania. In this way, the politician intends to "restore the cultural identity of the Romanian population".
"This is a classic example from the russian revanchism manual. We strongly condemn the attempt to question the territorial integrity of Ukraine and undermine the spirit of good neighbourliness between Ukraine and Romania," commented Mr. Nikolenko.
