Around 300 million jobs worldwide could be automated by the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI). This includes the impact of large linguistic models such as ChatGPT.

In the US and Europe, approximately two-thirds of current jobs may be affected by AI and automation to some degree. AI will be able to fully perform up to a quarter of all jobs.
The future use of technologies like ChatGPT may lead to job losses. But in the long run, new technologies and innovations can contribute to the growth of the labor market as well as overall productivity.
The widespread adoption of AI could eventually increase global GDP by 7% over a 10-year period, the bank noted.
