Major retailers unite to maintain stable supply of basic foodstuffs
They have agreed to pay under contracts for the supply of domestic products for no longer than a month

Grocery retail chains have signed a memorandum under which payment terms under contracts for the supply of domestically produced basic food products will not exceed 30 calendar days.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Retailers Association on its official website.
The document, which was developed taking into account the economic situation and financial viability of retailers in times of war, is intended to support domestic producers and stabilise the supply chain of basic food products.
The list of goods covered by the memorandum includes the following domestically produced goods (except for goods labelled as organic)
- cereals (buckwheat, wheat, barley, peas, pearl barley)
- granulated sugar (beet sugar);
- wheat flour;
- bread, loaf;
- pasta made from soft varieties, vermicelli made from high-grade wheat flour;
- milk (except for long-term storage);
- cottage cheese;
- kefir;
- butter with a fat content of 72.5%;
- sour cream;
- chicken eggs (unpackaged) or category C1;
- refined sunflower oil;
- chicken meat, pork meat;
- unpackaged vegetables of the "borsch set" (potatoes, carrots, beetroot, onions, white cabbage);
- still mineral water.
ATB, Silpo, Auchan, Novus, Varus, and Kolo worked on the document. Consultations were held with the Office of the President, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
