The Government has settled the issue of social payments for children to parents fleeing war abroad
Parents can remotely apply for childbirth assistance during their temporary stay outside Ukraine

The government has adopted a comprehensive resolution developed by the Ministry of Social Policy that regulates the issue of social benefits for children to parents who have gone abroad to escape the war.

"Now a parent who is temporarily abroad can send an application for assistance to the social security authority in Ukraine at his or her registered place of residence. Together with it, the father or mother must send documents issued by the competent authorities of the country of residence and legalised in accordance with the established procedure, certifying the birth of the child," the statement says.
It is noted that the mother will be able to receive Ukrainian child benefit in the country where she was granted temporary asylum.
"This decision will contribute to the social protection of families with children," the parliament's press service adds.
