russian dictator vladimir putin has signed a decree according to which Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territories and holders of passports of the so-called "DPR-LPR" may be deported in the future.

The decree states that these people must either become russian citizens or declare their desire to retain their existing citizenship and refuse to take the oath of russian citizenship.
According to the decree, such refuseniks will retain the right to stay at their place of residence until July 1, 2024, and will be considered foreigners thereafter.
At the same time, if such people threaten "national security" or plan extremist and terrorist crimes, they may be expelled.
The decree does not specify to which territory they are to be expelled.
In the fall of 2022, the russian authorities announced the annexation of four Ukrainian regions (Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson). The so-called annexation is not recognized by the vast majority of countries in the world, and it was also condemned by a UN General Assembly resolution.
