Denmark will send Ukraine $250 million in military aid to support the counteroffensive
Besides, the country will reduce its military presence in Iraq and focus on the Baltic states instead

Denmark will provide Ukraine with military equipment and financial assistance worth 1.7 billion Danish kroner ($250 million), Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen has said.
Denmark will provide Ukraine with demining machines, ammunition, field bridges and funds for air defense.

According to Poulsen, he hopes that this will help the success of the offensive, "when Ukrainians plan to recapture the Russian-occupied territories."
The minister also noted that Denmark will reduce its military presence in Iraq from the beginning of 2024 and instead focus on the Baltic States, offering NATO a battalion to protect the region, Reuters reports.
The battalion is expected to consist of 700 to 1,200 soldiers and will be deployed in Latvia for 4 to 6 months each year.
The rest of the time, the troops will remain in Denmark, ready to be deployed to the Baltic states in the event of a crisis, the Danish Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"We have to be prepared for the fact that the Danish presence in the Baltic States will be long-term, and it is necessary to balance the presence of soldiers on the ground with the readiness to send them from Denmark," Poulsen said.
