The Defence Minister of Turkey, Hulusi Akar, arranged a meeting between the parties of the 'grain agreement' on May 5.
This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
The head of the Turkish agency explained that there was a need for a meeting with the participation of technical personnel from the UN, Turkey, Ukraine, and russia before the meeting of the deputy ministers. Akar added that during the negotiations, they would discuss the issue of evacuating ships under the Turkish flag, which had been in Ukraine since the beginning of the occupation.
In addition, Turkish officials expect the agreement to be extended: "We have the impression from the meetings and negotiations that these works will lead to a positive result. We are working towards this, we are trying to implement this."
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Bulgaria would lift its ban on imports from Ukraine. This will happen when EU measures to stabilize the market come into effect.
