A Kh-22 missile hits a food production facility in Odessa Oblast

According to the Odesa Oblast Prosecutor's Office, one person died and two others were injured as a result of a missile strike on the oblast. Furthermore, due to missile strikes on resort villages in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Rayon, a holiday resort has been completely destroyed, and at least five neighbouring resorts as well as over 20 private holiday homes have been damaged.

Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat, in a comment to Hromadske, refuted Klitschko's information. He noted that all information was published on the official resources of the Defence Forces.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, a total of nearly 60 kamikaze drones were used by the occupiers during the attack on Ukraine on May 8. Out of them, 36 were heading towards the capital. The mayor emphasised that air defence forces shot down all of the Shahed drones.
UPDATED at 10:05 a.m.:
As a result of the strike in Odessa, three warehouse workers suffered minor injuries, and medical assistance was provided on the site. At the same time, one person is considered missing. Rescue operation is ongoing.

It is noted that all drones were shot down over Kyiv Oblast. The Ministry of Defence reported the consequences of the debris falling in the capital:
- 8 cars were damaged in the Sviatoshynskyi district, as well as windows and facades of a residential building and the roadway were damaged. 5 people were injured and are receiving medical assistance.
- In the Solomianskyi district, a 5-tonne tank with diesel fuel leaked without ignition. 15 trucks and 5 cars were damaged in the parking lot.
- It is also possible that a high-pressure gas pipeline was damaged with subsequent ignition of the gas flare – the gas was shut off, and the fire was extinguished.
In addition, the enemy used strategic aviation and attacked Odessa Oblast with Kh-22 missiles at night. The Air Force said that not all missiles reached their targets. At the same time, the Southern company clarified that some missiles hit a food production facility – without casualties.
Previously. Earlier, Mind reported that the enemy struck Ukraine with 8 missiles during the day. In particular, 6 Kh-22 missiles targeted Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts.
