The intensity of fighting in Bakhmut has decreased.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Hanna Maliar.
It is noted that the number of shelling remains high, and the enemy continues to clear the areas under his control. At the same time, the defence forces control the southwest outskirts of the city in the area near Litak.
Battles are still ongoing in the suburbs, with the occupiers unsuccessfully attempting to occupy advantageous positions. According to Maliar, in certain areas, the russians are defending themselves and suffering significant losses.
Furthermore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are making slight progress on the flanks to the north and south of Bakhmut.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the defenders had advanced 700 metres deep in the Bakhmut direction. In yesterday's battles, 23 occupiers were eliminated and another 40 were injured.
