The sum of individual deposits in Ukrainian banks grew by 5.2 billion UAH in April 2023
As of 1 May 2023, the total amount of individuals' deposits (including individual entrepreneurs) in Ukrainian banks amounted to nearly 1,067.3 billion UAH
Of the total amount of individuals' deposits at the beginning of May 2023: deposits in the national currency amounted to 656.0 billion UAH, deposits in foreign currency – 411.2 billion UAH.
This is reported by the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
The share of individual entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors as of 1 May 2023 was 3.0%, and the amount of their deposits amounted to 120.0 billion UAH (11.2% of the total amount of deposits (deposits of individual entrepreneurs have been guaranteed by the Fund since 1 January 2017).
The Guarantee Fund emphasises that all banks in Ukraine are participants in the Fund. As of 1 April 2023, there were 65 banks registered as participants in the Fund.
Background. In April 2023, the amount of repayment of creditors' claims of banks under the management of the Deposit Guarantee Fund amounted to 698 million UAH.
