Enemy forces struck Merefa and Izium with Shahed UAVs overnight, as was reported by the Kharkiv Oblast State Administration.
"Four Shahed drones and one missile arrived, the plant suffered serious damage. Firefighting efforts are ongoing," Valeulin said.
Background. russia has already attacked this enterprise with S-300 missiles in January 2023.
The mini oil refinery in Merefa belongs to the AES Group of companies. In recent years, several modern technological installations have been built on the premises, as well as a modern laboratory. In 2022, the refinery received its first batches of petrol and diesel fuel in accordance with Euro-5 standards.
