The Senate has approved a bill to raise the US debt ceiling
Now the decision has to be confirmed by US President Joe Biden

"If we do this we will not default," said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer shortly before the vote, adding, "That is very, very important."
Investors largely consider the risk of the US default as resolved and are shifting their attention to other uncertainty factors, such as Federal Reserve policy. On Friday in Asian trading, the yield on Treasury bonds decreased, while stocks in the region followed American indices upward on the back of rising shares of technology companies.
It is pointed out that the Senate may bypass spending limits on Ukraine, defence, and domestic priorities using emergency funding, although the Republican-controlled House of Representatives will need to agree to this.
