"The counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is going to be very impressive," says ex-CIA director
He believes that Ukrainians will successfully conduct a combined operation

The Ukrainian counteroffensive will be "very impressive".
This was stated by the American General, former Central Intelligence Agency director David Petraeus, The Guardian reports.
According to him, Ukrainians are "determined to liberate their country".
"My sense is that they will achieve combined arms effects in other words, they will successfully carry out combined arms operations where you have engineers that are breaching the obstacles and diffusing the minefields and so forth; armour following right on through protected by infantry against anti-tank missiles; air defence keeping the Russians aircraft off them; electronic warfare jamming their radio networks; logistics right up behind them; artillery and mortars right out in front of them," noted Petraeus.
Background. In February, Petraeus said that Ukrainian troops could push back russian troops even further this summer, depending on weapons supply and strategy.
Zelensky stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were ready to start a counteroffensive, although he would like to receive more weapons from Western allies, Ukraine "cannot wait for months".
Zelensky also added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine "have a great deal of faith in success", but russia still had air superiority, therefore, Ukrainian troops might suffer "significant losses".
