In Kherson, 2 water intakes have been destroyed, 17 wells and 6 sewage pumping stations have been flooded.
This was reported by the director of the Production Management of Water Supply and Sewerage Economy of Kherson City public utility, Oleksiy Savchenko.
According to him, as of yesterday, 50,000 residents were still in the city. As a result of the flooding and power outages, 30,000 people could be left without centralized water supply, and sewage became unavailable for 100,000 subscribers.
Currently, the city is carrying out water removal from sites that ended up in the flood zone, using generators and relevant equipment.
