Over 14,000 electricity consumers in Kherson remain without power – Ministry of Energy

As of 16 June, over 14,000 subscribers in Kherson remain without electricity. Over the past day, 70 subscribers in the city were reconnected, however, 4 settlements in the de-occupied part of the region still lack electricity.

This is reported by the Ministry of Energy.

In addition, the ministry reports, over 600 consumers in Mykolaiv Oblast are without electricity, though one populated area has been successfully reconnected.

Furthermore, due to hostile attacks, infrastructure in Donetsk and Zaporizhia oblasts has been damaged, and due to previous attacks, parts of Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv oblasts remain without electricity. It is specified that nearly 6,000 consumers in Donetsk Oblast and 4,000 in Zaporizhia Oblast are without power.

It is noted that currently there is no electricity deficit, with nearly half of the generation provided by nuclear power plants. Import and export of electricity were not carried out, adds the Ministry of Energy. Over the past day, power supply was restored to 48,000 subscribers.

Background. Mind previously reported that one of the energy units of Ukraine's nuclear power plants has been repaired.
