UN confirms that russia has killed at least 136 children in Ukraine and wounded 518
However, the organization has not forgotten about the "crimes" of the Ukrainian army

Reuters has reviewed the UN's annual report, in which the head of the organization, Antonio Guterres, called russia guilty of killing 136 children in Ukraine in 2022 and added the russian army to the list of global offenders.
The report has been sent to members of the UN Security Council (where russia often uses its veto power) and will be officially released next week, Reuters reports.
The UN confirms that russian armed forces and affiliated groups have also maimed 518 children, used 91 children as human shields, and committed 480 attacks on schools and hospitals. The Ukrainian army, according to the UN, was responsible for 80 deaths, 175 injuries and 212 attacks on schools and hospitals. Ukraine's armed forces are not on the list of global perpetrators.
According to Guterres, he was "particularly shocked" by the high number of children killed and injured, as well as attacks on schools and hospitals by the russian army. He also emphasized that the number of such crimes against children by the Ukrainian armed forces is very disturbing.
The report focuses on children in armed conflict zones and covers the killing, maiming, sexual violence, abduction and recruitment, denial of assistance and attacks on schools and hospitals.
It was compiled by the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, Virginia Gamba. Last month, she visited Ukraine and russia, where she met with the Commissioner for Children's Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova.
The International Criminal Court in March issued an arrest warrant for Lvova-Belova, as well as russian dictator putin, on charges of illegally removing children from Ukraine and illegally moving people to russia from Ukraine after the russian invasion on February 24, 2022.
