Ukrainian pilots may begin training on F-16 fighters as early as July.
This was announced by Ukraine's Defence Minister, Oleksiy Reznikov.
The head of the department emphasised that they were currently preparing a training programme for the Western fighter jets. The training will begin on time, provided the plan is approved.
"Responsible individuals have been identified, the programme will be outlined by the beginning of July, it will be announced, I can optimistically say that training will begin as early as July," stressed Reznikov.
Background. Mind previously reported that Biden was proposing to Erdogan to support Sweden's entry into NATO in exchange for new F-16 fighters. Both presidents will discuss this in more detail next week.
