Ukrainian Armed Forces advance 1,500 metres near Bakhmut
Meanwhile, the defenders are successful on the southern front

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have advanced 1,500 metres towards Kurdiumivka near Bakhmut.
This was reported by Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
The official emphasises that the defenders have taken the operational initiative in the Bakhmut direction. Meanwhile, the russians are trying to hold their positions, launching counter-attacks, but are gradually retreating.
Progress is also noted towards the settlement of Klishchyivka – by 1,200 metres, which is further south of Bakhmut. However, Maliar stresses that overall, it's heating up again on the Bakhmut front with fierce battles ongoing. The enemy is bringing up reserves and is "clinging to Bakhmut with all his might."
Furthermore, the defenders are making progress on the Rovnopil – Volodyne front, consolidating at the reached lines and inflicting serious losses on the enemy. Thus, it has been possible to advance 1,300 metres forward on the Berdiansk front.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were using the experience of the first weeks of the offensive and making progress. Ukrainian units are achieving gradual but confident tactical progress in key directions.
