Poland to deploy 500 police officers to guard borders with Belarus

The Ministry of Interior of Poland is sending an additional few hundred police officers to the border with Belarus due to the "tense situation" associated with the redeployment of Wagner PMC fighters into Belarus.
This was reported by the Minister of Interior of Poland, Mariusz Kamiński, on Twitter.
The head of the Ministry of Interior noted that the police officers were joining five thousand border guards and two thousand soldiers who were on the border.
Background. According to russian and Belarusian leadership, following the attempted coup and the march on moscow on 24 June, eager mercenaries from Wagner PMC will be given the opportunity to relocate to Belarus. Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the company and leader of the coup, is already there.
