russians claim drone attack on moscow Oblast

russians have announced a drone attack on moscow Oblast.

This is reported by Hromadske, citing russian officials and media.

According to moscow Mayor Sergei Sobianin, "all Ukrainian drones" were shot down in New moscow and moscow Oblast. However, he stressed that flights from Vnukovo airport had been rerouted "for safety reasons".

Propagandistic publication RIA Novosti alleges that a total of 4 UAVs were shot down over New moscow and the region, although Mash reports that another drone was spotted in the sky over Kaluga Oblast heading towards the capital.

In addition, two explosions were heard by residents of the village of Akinshino in New moscow. At the same time, another drone was supposedly shot down by air defence forces in the Podmoskovnaya Kubinka area.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that air defence forces had downed over 150 missiles and 166 assault drones in June. They also shot down 7 enemy helicopters.
