Energoatom connects another power unit to the grid
The energy sector is currently undergoing the most extensive maintenance campaign since independence

NNEGC Energoatom has connected another 1,000 MW power unit to the grid following a scheduled maintenance.
This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
"A power unit at one of Ukraine's nuclear power plants came out of maintenance three days ahead of schedule, adding 1,000 MW to the power system. In total, nuclear generation produced half of the consumed electricity over the past day. The generation fully meets the needs of consumers," the report says.
Currently, the energy sector is undergoing the most extensive maintenance campaign in the times of independence, which is taking place in preparation for the new heating season.
Background. On 5 July, another 1,000 MW power unit came out of maintenance. The scheduled maintenance of the unit began on 4 May and was completed four days ahead of schedule. It was connected to the grid on 4 July.
