Beijing confirms that the building of the Chinese consulate in Odesa was damaged during russian attack

Earlier this day, local authorities in Odesa reported that the building of the Chinese Consulate General was damaged during the russian nighttime attack on the city.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms this information.
"An explosion occurred near the Chinese Consulate General in Odesa. The blast wave damaged parts of the wall surface and window panes. The consulate staff left the building long ago, no one was injured. China is closely monitoring the developments and is in contact with the parties concerned. We will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Chinese institutions and citizens in Ukraine," the spokesman said in a statement.
However, he did not directly answer the question of whether China had made any demarches against russia. He limited himself to saying that China is in contact with interested parties.
