russia cannot quickly repair the Crimean bridge – work has been extended until winter
Restoration of the bridge will cost from 1 to 1.3 billion rubles ($10.5 million)

The russian government has decided to extend the timeframe for the restoration of the Crimean Bridge, which was damaged after the bombings in the fall of 2022 and summer of 2023. Currently, the bridge will be restored until December 31, 2023, according to the official website of legal information, moscowtimes.eu reports.
Earlier, russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin announced his intention to restore two-way traffic on one side of the bridge by September 15, and on the other by November 1.
He acknowledged that it would not be possible to rebuild the bridge as quickly as after the first strike last October, as one 600-ton span was completely destroyed.
"Most likely, we will build a temporary 250-meter bridge from which we will work and lift these spans with heavy-duty cranes," he said.
Last October, the cost of restoring one span of the bridge was estimated at 200 to 300 million rubles ($1.6 million to $2.4 million).
However, due to rising prices for construction materials, the expected cost of repairs has increased by 3.6% since then.
According to preliminary estimates by Deputy Prime Minister Khusnullin, the restoration of the Crimean bridge will cost between 1 and 1.3 billion rubles ($10.5 million).
As a reminder, on the night of July 17, two explosions occurred on the Crimean Bridge. As a result, one span completely collapsed.
Background. As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Crimean bridge should be neutralized.
