The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has determined that the attack in Olenivka "was not caused by HIMARS missile"

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has acknowledged that the attack in Olenivka "was not caused by HIMARS missiles".

This is reported by Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

The OHCHR stressed that at that stage, they could not determine the exact source of the explosion and its precise direction. The Office promised that their team "will continue to monitor this in accordance with their mandate."

Lubinets noted that the russian federation was denying access to the site of the tragedy, particularly to the UN representatives.

"This statement from the High Commissioner is significant for moving forward from ground zero in the crime investigation! I welcome these words of the High Commissioner and will note that Ukraine is ready to assist in the investigation of this crime and once again pass on the materials related to the case in Olenivka, which have been successfully gathered," the Commissioner added.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the explosion in Olenivka was caused by a thermobaric bomb. At the time of the explosion, the bomb was already in the convoy.
