UPDATED at 5:31 p.m.:

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, states that 5 medical workers were injured in the shelling.

According to him, 4 of them were diagnosed with concussion and acute stress reaction. They were provided with medical assistance.


UPDATED at 1:01 p.m.:

According to the latest data from the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, two floors of the hospital were damaged – the surgical and otolaryngology departments, and the operating room were destroyed.

In addition, it was revealed that the deceased man was a doctor, who was on his first day at work after completing his internship.

Currently, special services are clearing the debris of the medical facility, doctors are examining injured colleagues and patients who were in the building at the time of the strike.


Invaders shelled a hospital in Kherson.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office. 

The shelling took place around 11:00 a.m. in downtown Kherson. Due to the attack, one of the doctors received multiple shrapnel wounds that were incompatible with life. A nurse received injuries as well. Additionally, vehicles near the medical facility were damaged. 

Currently, prosecutors are conducting initial measures to record the crime. Moreover, the Kherson Rayon Prosecutor's Office has initiated a pre-trial investigation into violations of laws and customs of war. 

Background. Mind previously reported that the invaders had shelled Kherson on 31 July. As a result of the attack, a 65-year-old man died, another resident was injured.
