Ukrzaliznytsia transported nearly 70% more passengers in July than during the same period last year
The company conducted 31% more flights compared to July of the previous year

In July 2023, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 2.51 million passengers, which is 1 million more than in July 2022, according to the carrier's press service.
"Moreover, the number of trips made in a month increased significantly: from 1,998 flights in July of the previous year to 2,613 flights in July of the current year," the statement reads.
This means that compared to last year, this July the railway carried out 31% more trips and transported nearly 70% more passengers. The number of domestic trips increased by 29%, and international ones by 43% compared to the same period in 2022.
In addition, the average occupancy of Ukrzaliznytsia's long-distance trains was 97% (meaning that the majority of trips were 100% full).
Background. Due to the popularity of the new Kherson-Kyiv-Slovyansk route, the railway has extended the train route to Kramatorsk from 5 August from Kherson and from 6 August from Kramatorsk. As before, from Kyiv, train No. 101/102 will depart on odd-numbered days at 9:02 p.m. and will arrive in Kramatorsk at 08:38 a.m., and in the opposite direction, from Kramatorsk, the train will depart on even-numbered days at 09:26 a.m. and arrive in Kyiv at 8:30 p.m.
