Throughout July, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 18.8 thousand used passenger cars that were imported from abroad, a near 9% increase in registrations compared to June 2023, according to Ukravtoprom.
"Thus, July's replenishment of the country's car fleet with used cars was the largest in the last 11 months," Ukravtoprom reports.
The largest share in this segment of the car market belonged to petrol cars – 44%.
This was followed by:
- diesel – 33%;
- electric cars – 15%;
- LPG cars – 5%;
- hybrids – 3%.
The leader in July's registrations among imported cars was the Volkswagen Golf.
The top 10 most popular models of the month included:
- Volkswagen Golf – 1,616 pieces;
- Renault Megane – 1,234 pieces;
- Skoda Octavia – 929 pieces;
- Volkswagen Passat – 741 pieces;
- Nissan Leaf – 535 pieces;
- Ford Focus – 400 pieces;
- Volkswagen Touran – 384 pieces;
- Nissan Qashqai – 377 pieces;
- Volkswagen Tiguan – 377 pieces;
- Audi A4 – 369 pieces.
The average age of used cars that were registered with Ukrainian plates in July is 10 years.
In total, since the beginning of the year, 106 thousand used passenger cars imported from abroad have undergone their first registration in Ukraine, which is 3.3 times more than the sales of new cars during the same period.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that in July, 9% fewer new commercial vehicles had been sold in the Ukrainian market compared to the previous month.
