In Ukraine, three state-owned factories are now producing FPV drones – Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine
Currently, they are training staff and working on procurement of components
In Ukraine, three state defence factories have commenced the production of FPV drones.
This was reported by Yaroslav Oliynyk, the advisor to the Minister for Strategic Industries, during his speech at the iForum conference, as relayed by the press service of the Ministry of Strategic Industries.
The minister's advisor also revealed that three domestic enterprises have already started the production of FPV drones. "Currently, they are training their staff and working on streamlining the purchase of components. I cannot divulge further details for security reasons," he said.
Oliynyk also presented five main steps to achieve this goal. Firstly, in his opinion, preference should always be given to Ukrainian manufacturers.
"In the general concept of the development of Ukraine's defence industry, as mentioned by Minister Kamyshin, we should be guided by economic nationalism. Ukrainian manufacturers first," stressed the minister's advisor.
He also added that the Ministry of Strategic Industries is working on scaling up and developing the market for Ukrainian UAVs. To do this, they are exploring partnerships between state and private manufacturers, localising component production in Ukraine, and collaborating with international investors, funds, and manufacturers.
