Yermak: russian Ka-52 helicopters use Western technologies
The head of the OP said he had already provided this information to Western partners

russian Ka-52 combat helicopters, which are being actively used against the Ukrainian army, are made using high-tech components that came from Western and Asian countries, said the head of the Office of the Ukrainian President, Andriy Yermak.
He commented on his Telegram on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' announcement that they managed to shoot down two Ka-52 helicopters on Thursday. According to Yermak, Ukrainian experts have been "researching" these machines for a long time.
"We know that this helicopter contains high-tech components from Western and Asian countries," Yermak wrote.
He clarified that he was referring to various microchips, processors, flash memory and other electronics, "without which its operation [of the Ka-52 helicopter] would be impossible, since russia is not capable of producing such technological products."
The head of the OP said that he had already provided information about this to Western partners in order to cut off the channels of possible supplies of sanctioned goods to russia.
"But more sanctions are needed, so we will soon publish a document with additional proposals," Yermak wrote. "Shooting down Ka-52s is great. But it is much better to deprive russia of the ability to produce it," he concluded.
Western military experts say that during the current counteroffensive, russian Ka-52 helicopters have been extremely important for russian defence, as they allow the Ukrainian military to be fired upon from a distance inaccessible to air defence forces.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Western countries have been trying to cut off electronics supplies to russia, but the russian military-industrial complex has been trying to circumvent the sanctions with the help of some neighboring countries and China.
