Ukrainian forces liberate 3 sq. km in the Bakhmut direction over the week
Ukrainian troops continue their advance on the southern flank of the city

Over the last week, Ukrainian forces have reclaimed 3 sq. km in the vicinity of Bakhmut.
This was reported by Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, as relayed by the Military Media Centre.
The Ukrainian troops are currently advancing on the city's southern flank. To date, they have de-occupied a total of 43 sq. km surrounding Bakhmut.
Background. Mind earlier reported that the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, believed that all necessary conditions were met to fully retake Bakhmut. Presently, the city finds itself in a state of semi-encirclement.
