Active combat continues in Kharkiv Oblast, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not lost any settlements.
This was announced by Oleh Synehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, during the national TV marathon.
According to him, the enemy is currently spreading disinformation about supposedly capturing new territories in Kharkiv Oblast.
"All attempts by the russians to storm our positions meet with stiff resistance; the occupiers suffer significant losses and return to their previous positions," assured Synehubov.
The head of administration added that some communities in Kharkiv Oblast were being evacuated due to constant shelling by the occupiers. Thus, 45 people were evacuated yesterday, including 26 women and 5 children. In total, since 9 August, 601 residents of dangerous communities have been evacuated.
Background. Previously, Mind reported that the government had allocated more than 1.2 billion UAH for reinforcing defensive lines in the north-eastern regions of Ukraine. This pertains to Kharkiv Oblast – 911.5 million UAH, and Chernihiv Oblast – 363 million UAH.
