Tesla sues Chinese company for violation of trade secrets

Tesla's Shanghai unit has filed a lawsuit against a Chinese company for technology theft and unfair competition, the state-run Chinese newspaper Shanghai Securities Journal reported on Tuesday, Reuters reports.
According to the publication, the lawsuit against Bingling Intelligent Technology, a chip developer and auto parts manufacturer, will be heard at the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court on October 10.
11.9% of Bingling's shares are owned by Xiaomi's investment fund, the newspaper reported, citing the Chinese business data platform Tianyancha.
