Kazakhs launched a petition and succeeded in canceling the performance of the KVN team, which performed in occupied Donetsk
The reason for the cancellation of the Kamyzyak's concerts in Almaty and Astana was the indignation of Kazakhstanis

Kazakhstan has canceled the KVN concerts of the Kamyzyaki team after they performed in the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic". The reason for the cancellation of the Kamyzyak's concerts in Almaty and Astana was the outrage of Kazakhstanis and the launch of a petition against these events.
This was reported by the organizers of the concert – the Vi Project company, the BBC writes.
Earlier, on September 13, major Kazakh investment platforms withdrew tickets for Kamyzyak's performances from sale. The Russians were to perform in Almaty on October 5, and in Astana on October 7 and 8.
After the announcement of the KVN concerts by the Kamyzyaki team, Kazakhs demanded that the event be canceled because of the performances of the band members Azamat Musagaliyev and Denis Dorokhov in the occupied Donbas.
A petition was posted on the Alash.online platform to cancel Kamyzyaki's concerts in Kazakhstan. The announcement claims that Musagaliyev, together with comedian Nurlan Saburov, "ridiculed" the Kazakh language on Russian federal channels and even performed with his team in occupied Donetsk. The petition gathered over 18 thousand votes.
This is not the first performance of Russian artists canceled in Kazakhstan for supporting the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. In June, a concert by singer Gregory Leps was canceled. A week before, Leps said he intended to pay a million rubles for the destruction of a Leopard tank in Ukraine.
Background. As a reminder, The Killers apologized after playing a song with a Russian man from the audience at a concert in Georgia.
