Israeli death toll rises to 200 - authorities

At least 200 Israelis have been killed and at least 1,000 injured in the Hamas group's attack on Israel, Israeli media report, citing local officials.
Earlier it was reported about 150 dead.
According to doctors, more than 1,000 people were taken to hospitals in the country. Kan TV and radio company reports that dozens of the wounded are in critical condition.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has taken retaliatory action after Hamas attacks on the central and southern regions of the country. During the operation called "Iron Swords", IDF fighter jets attacked two high-rise buildings used by Hamas members for terrorist operations and other targets.
Palestinian media claim that the attacked buildings contained residential apartments. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll is 198 people, and the number of injured has reached 1610.
According to updated reports, on Saturday evening, Palestinian militants fired rockets at Tel Aviv and other cities in central Israel, the Israeli National Medical Service reports.
The shelling began at about 20:00 local time.
The Hamas group reports that it fired 150 rockets at Israel in response to a strike on the Palestinian Highrise, an 11-story building in the center of Gaza City.
In addition, the IDF confirms that Israeli civilians and soldiers have been taken hostage in Gaza. Israel and Hamas are negotiating the fate of the captured civilians and soldiers. According to Hamas, about 35 Israeli soldiers and settlers, including senior officers, were captured.
