Zelenskyy announces the opening of a new "grain corridor" through Moldova and Romania
Romania, in particular through Romanian seaports, accounts for 60% of Ukraine's grain exports

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced at a press conference in Bucharest on Tuesday that a new route for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through Moldova and Romania will soon be opened.
Source. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
"In the Ukraine-Romania-Moldova triangle, we are able to create a very powerful basis for the development of not only our countries and peoples, but also the whole of Europe. We have already achieved good results in the development of logistics in this triangle, and a grain corridor from Ukraine through Moldova to Romania will soon be launched," Zelenskyy said.
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, who met with Zelenskiy on Tuesday and then spoke at a joint press conference with him, said, among other things, that 60% of Ukraine's grain exports go through Romania, in particular through Romanian seaports.
He assured that Romania and the Romanian people were determined to support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in a multilateral and meaningful way, including through defense assistance, as long as necessary, until the Russian aggressor is defeated and all Ukrainian territory is liberated.
In mid-September, Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced his intention to double the volume of Ukrainian grain transit through Romania in October, increasing it from two to four million tons.
Background. To recap, Zelenskyy said that Romania would set up an F-16 pilot training center, with Ukrainian pilots included in the first wave of training.
