Romania found a new crater from a Russian drone on its territory and strongly condemned it
The country's Foreign Ministry noted that these attacks are a serious violation of international humanitarian law

The Romanian Ministry of Defense said it has discovered a crater on its territory, which was probably formed after Russian drones struck Ukrainian port infrastructure in Odesa region on Wednesday evening.
The Romanian defense ministry said in a statement that the sinkhole was found near the border with Ukraine.
"Around five in the morning, our teams on the ground reported the discovery of a crater from a drone that probably exploded during the crash in a forested area about three kilometers west of Plauru," the Romanian Defense Ministry said.
The city of Plauro is located on the banks of the Danube, directly opposite it, on Ukrainian territory, is the city of Izmail, whose port structure is constantly subject to Russian strikes.
"The Ministry of National Defense strongly condemns the attacks carried out by the Russian Federation on some facilities and elements of the civilian infrastructure of Ukrainian ports on the Danube," the statement said.
In late September, after another attack on Ukrainian port infrastructure, Romania's Defense Ministry said that Russian drones may have violated its airspace.
Prior to that, the wreckage of allegedly Russian drones had been spotted several times in Romania's border areas.
The Romanian Ministry of Defense has built bomb shelters in the border areas, and local residents have already been advised to use them during strikes on Ukraine.
Background. As a reminder, three NATO countries will create a joint force to protect the Black Sea "grain corridor" from mines.
