Latvian company suspected of supplying uniforms to Russian army

An investigation has been launched in Latvia against a company suspected of supplying uniforms to the Russian army.

Security officers conducted searches at the company's affiliated enterprises in Riga and other cities of Latvia. Documents, data storage devices and cash in the amount of over 500 thousand euros were seized.
The case was opened under the article on indirect transfer of property to a party involved in an armed conflict outside Latvia.
The agency's press release does not specify the name of the company. According to LETA, it is Arta-F.
Delfi journalists clarify that before the case was initiated, Latvian television showed a story about this company with reference to the Polygon Media investigation, which stated that the Latvian company Arta-F, which produces components for clothing, cooperates with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The investigation states that over the year and a half of the war, the company supplied at least $6 million worth of products to Russia. Most of the components for the uniforms were bought by BTK Group, a holding company that supplies uniforms for the Russian Guard, the Investigative Committee and the Russian Defense Ministry.
