Losses of Russian equipment were five times higher than Ukrainians during the offensive on Avdiivka

Russian military units advancing in the area of Avdiivka in Donetsk region have lost five times more military equipment than the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the six-day offensive.

From October 10 to October 16, the loss of Russian equipment amounted to at least 118 units, including 27 tanks, 33 infantry fighting vehicles and eight armored personnel carriers.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 25 pieces of equipment, including four tanks, four infantry fighting vehicles and two armored personnel carriers.

The offensive in the Avdiivka area began on October 10. Russian pro-war bloggers initially reported successes in this area. However, these statements are not true, according to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The spokesman for the joint press center of the Ukrainian defense forces of the Tauride direction, Oleksandr Stupun, compared Russia's actions in the area of Avdiivka to the operation to capture Bakhmut.

Since the beginning of June, according to Oryx, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost at least 1,121 pieces of equipment, including 155 tanks, 234 infantry fighting vehicles, and 35 armored personnel carriers.

While the Russian armed forces lost 2073 pieces of equipment, including 386 tanks, 499 infantry fighting vehicles and 133 armored personnel carriers.
