Israeli MP: some of Hamas' weapons came from Russia
This is a reminder to those who tried to maneuver between Moscow and Washington who is really Israel's ally, he said.

Israeli Knesset member Zeev Elkin said that some of the weapons in the hands of Gaza terrorists originally came from Russia.
Source. The member of the State Camp party said this on the air of 103FM radio station, newsisrael.co.il reports.
"I'm not sure they know exactly how these weapons got there, whether intentionally or unintentionally, or through all kinds of intermediaries, but we know that these Hamas terrorists were trained in Syria and Lebanon by Hezbollah and the Iranians, and obviously there is very close cooperation between the Russians and Iranians in Syria," Elkin said.
According to the MP, Russia has changed the rules of its game by creating a strategic alliance with Iran. And now Iran is helping Russia with the war in Ukraine, while Moscow, Elkin believes, is helping Tehran and its allies on other fronts.
"There are very complicated things happening in relations with Russia, including some statements by the Russian president comparing what is happening in Gaza to World War II, including Russia's decision to send the deputy foreign minister to meet with Hamas leaders after the horrific massacre of women and children," said Zeev Elkin.
He also added that this is a reminder to those who tried to maneuver between Moscow and Washington who is actually Israel's ally. The MP is sure that Russia's behavior should be condemned. But we should remember that Israel is not interested in a war in the north, which is beyond Israel's control.
Background. As a reminder, China has supported Palestine and called Israel responsible for the conflict. Beijing stands for the creation of an "independent Palestinian state."
