"It started working": Ministry of Defense authorizes several new types of drones for use
Thanks to the new service, 354 samples have already been received from arms and military equipment manufacturers
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced that several new types of UAVs have been approved for use.
According to the ministry's telegram channel, this happened for the first time thanks to a new scheme of simplified approval of innovations on the battlefield within a few days.
"What had previously been slowed down for months has started working according to a fast and transparent algorithm," the statement said.
It is emphasized that FPV drones are real tools for destroying the enemy and protecting Ukraine, so the Ministry of Defense is doing everything to increase their number.
On October 21, the government supported a resolution drafted by the Ministry of Defense on a simplified procedure for authorizing the use of unmanned systems and electronic warfare equipment.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine's Accelerator of Innovative Development can register a request for a new weapon to be put into service.
This service has already received 354 samples from manufacturers of weapons and military equipment. 108 samples have been approved for operation, 199 applications are being studied.
