White House says 96% of funds allocated by the US to Ukraine have already been spent
Kirby said that Ukrainians were underestimated from the very beginning of the conflict

The United States has spent 96% of the funds it has allocated to Ukraine since the beginning of the war, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters.
Source. This was reported by CNN.
"I can tell you that of the total amount of funds that have been provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the war, which exceeds $60 billion – and this is not just security assistance, it is economic and financial assistance, humanitarian assistance – we have spent about 96%," Kirby said.
He added that 90% of the funds allocated directly for military support have been spent.
Kirby emphasized that the United States is focused on continuing to provide military assistance to Ukraine so that "they can maximize the time left before the weather finally turns bad and reduces the opportunity for progress."
Asked by a journalist whether President Biden believes that Kyiv can make progress, Kirby replied: "Absolutely. We believe they will be able to get their territory back. I think they've been underestimated since the beginning of this conflict."
Background. As reported, the Democrats in the US Senate blocked the Republican bill on aid to Israel without Ukraine. Senators are writing their own bill on financing allies and may present it this week.
