Zelenskyy publishes photo of Ukrainian military on the left bank of the Dnipro

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has published a photo of the Ukrainian military – according to his signature, on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region.

Earlier on Friday, the Ukrainian military for the first time officially announced "successful actions" on the eastern bank and the creation of "bridgeheads," as reported by the media in November.

"The left bank of Kherson. Our soldiers. Thank you for your strength, for moving forward! Glory to each and everyone who returns freedom and justice to Ukraine!" Zelenskyy wrote in a telegram.

"The Ukrainian Defense Forces have conducted a series of successful actions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson direction," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. The ways of logistics supply of ammunition and food to the occupants are being identified. Reconnaissance of the location of personnel and equipment of the Russian occupation forces, artillery positions is being carried out."

"Heavy fighting continues," the Ukrainian General Staff said.

"One of the main goals of this work is to push the enemy as far as possible from the right bank to protect the civilian population from constant Russian shelling. The farther the Russian artillery is from Kherson, the better," the statement said.
