Stoltenberg warns of increased Russian drone attacks on Ukrainian cities

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has called for preparations for increased Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure in the winter, RBC-Ukraine reports.

"We see intense fighting along the front line. And we see waves of drone strikes on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. And we need to prepare for more attacks against Ukrainian cities," Stoltenberg said.

"Therefore, it is very important that NATO member states continue to support Ukraine," the head of the alliance emphasized.

He expects NATO members to reaffirm their support for Ukraine at a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, which will be attended by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

As a reminder, Kyiv came under a massive drone attack on Saturday night. The authorities called the attack the largest since the beginning of the war.

Background. The day before, Stoltenberg said that Ukraine would become a NATO member after the war, provided that it successfully reforms. At the NATO-Ukraine meeting, recommendations for reforms that will help Ukraine become a full member of the alliance will be agreed upon.
