Russian media report another Russian general killed in Ukraine
One of the sources says that the general exploded on a mine while in the combat zone
Several Russian Z-observers have reported the death of Major General Vladimir Zavadsky, deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Army.
The first reports of Major General Zavadsky's death appeared in closed chat rooms of the Moscow Combined Arms Command School on the evening of November 28. One of the school's graduates said that the general had hit a mine while in the combat zone, the BBC reported.
The first media outlet to report the death of General Zavadski was the Belarusian website Gusar.by.
On November 29, the news agency Novorossiya, founded by the Tsargrad Media of Orthodox oligarch Konstantin Malafeev, reported that Major General Zavadsky had allegedly died near the town of Izyum in Kharkiv region. However, Izyum is located in the Ukrainian rear, about 50 kilometers from the front line.
According to other sources, Zavadsky could have been killed near the village of Krynky in Kherson region, where the Russian army has been trying to fight the Ukrainian army's bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River in recent weeks.
From 2018 to 2021, Major General Zavadsky commanded the Kantemyriv Tank Division in the Moscow region. At the time of his death, he was reportedly the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps, which operates in Kherson region as part of the Dnipro group.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet announced anything about the death of Major General Zavadsky. However, it has not previously published anything about the deaths of other senior officers, even after the media had publicly reported them.
