The Ukrainian IT Army has stopped the operation of the Russian cloud service Bitrix24, which is used by the largest companies sponsoring the war in Russia, including Rosneft.
Source. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
"The work of Russian business giants has been stopped. The IT Army has put down Bitrix24. This is a Russian cloud service used by the largest companies sponsoring the war in Russia, such as Rosneft," he wrote on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
As a result of the cyberattack, 40% of users had problems accessing the CRM system and other Bitrix24 services.
Background. As a reminder, Ukraine took part in a large-scale NATO cyber defense exercise. The goal was to increase the resilience of NATO countries to cyber threats, as well as their ability to conduct joint cyber operations.
