Thousands of military personnel from 31 NATO countries and Sweden, a candidate for membership in the alliance, will take part in the exercises, which will take place in several countries.

During the military maneuvers, Britain will use the latest F35B fighter jets and Poseidon P8 surveillance aircraft, Royal Navy ships and submarines, as well as other military capabilities ranging from logistics to armored vehicles and special operations forces, the press release said.

"We are living in a new era, and we must be ready to deter our enemies, lead our allies and defend our country at any time. Today, our adversaries are carefully restoring their barriers. Old enemies are being reanimated. The battle lines are being redrawn. Tanks are literally on the ground in Ukraine. The foundations of the world order are crumbling. We are at a crossroads," the British Defense Secretary said.

As reported, on January 12, British aviation, together with US forces, struck at the Houthis in Yemen.

In addition, last week London announced an additional package of assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 2.5 billion pounds.
